Union Budget 2018-19 is the first
annual budget since the rollout of GST in July 2017. IT is the Narendra Modi
Government's fifth and final full budget. All eyes are on the finance minister.
Individuals, businesses, and market professionals are closely watching Union
Budget 2018. The economic survey had suggested that the economy should grow
between 7% and 7.5% in fiscal 2019. Whether Jaitley will stay the course on the
fiscal deficit or not. Continuing with the trend from last year, the Railway
Budget will be included in the General Budget. GDP growth averaged 7.3% for the
period between 2014-15 to 2017-18. Authorised by Chief Economic Advisor Arvind
Subramanian, the survey added that there had been a significant increase in the
number of indirect taxpayers following GST.
